Grainy balms-  Grainy balms are from the oils solidifying unevenly which create small lumps. This especially happens in warm climates when the balms melt a bit. This can be remedied by heating the balm over a double boiler. Scoop out balm into a glass or metal double boiler. Clean out jar. Melt balm until completely liquid. Pour liquid back into jar and place immediately in a refrigerator uncovered until the balm has solidified. I recommend doing this only once. Try to store your balms in a cool environment. If you live in a warm climate, you can store your balm in the refrigerator, covered. This is especially great as a cooling element for sunburnt skin.

Floating pieces in Sea Spray- If you see floating white flakes in your spray chances are it’s just the aloe vera that has come together. Shake bottle vigorously to break pieces up.

Can I use the Body Balm on my face?- YES! The Body Balm is a lightweight deeply nourishing and moisturizing balm that can definitely be used on your face.

Can I use the Body Balm on my newborn baby? The Body Balm has a small amount of palo santo essential oil in it for scent. Essential oils should not be used on children 6 months and under. To be safe we recommend waiting until they are closer to a year old.

What are the health benefits in the Body Balm?- Because the Body Balm is made up of natural ingredients it has multiple health benefits for your skin. Shea Butter is rich in vitamins A, E and F and can help with skin inflammation and acne. It also offers UV protection (SPF 6). Coconut oil is a natural antioxidant which is great for stopping wrinkles and skin irritation and it is antibacterial and antifungal. Beeswax heals and softens skin. It can help remedy conditions like acne, dry skin, eczema, and stretch marks. It is high in vitamin A, which has been found to support cell reconstruction in skin. Avocado oil is a great source of omega-3 fatty acids, vitamin A, vitamin D and vitamin E, providing a deep moisturizer for the skin. And palo santo’s scent is a natural anxiety relief.

So, long story short the Body Balm is rich in vitamins that deeply moisturize skin, has healing properties for acne, dry skin, eczema, wrinkles and stretch marks, is antifungal and antibacterial, can lessen anxiety and is a lightweight SPF. Sounds pretty great to me!

What are the health benefits in the Sea Spray?- Sea salt is rich in minerals such as magnesium, bromide, iodine, sulfur, potassium, calcium, sodium and zinc which can promote healthy hair growth by supporting the health of the scalp. Sulfur, is a great source of amino acids and protein, which improves hair strength and can boost hair growth. Aloe vera has antibacterial and antifungal properties which helps with dandruff, and the gel’s enzymes can rid the scalp of dead cells and promote the regeneration of skin tissue around the hair follicles. Argon oil is a great hair moisturizer and helps thicken hair and prevent breakage or damage. Epsom salt is magnesium sulfate which is less drying than sea salt, creating softer, more healthy waves

Will the Sea Spray dry my hair out?- No, it shouldn’t. We only use a small amount of sea salt in our recipes. Epsom salt which is the main component the Sea Spray is less drying and rich in minerals which creates soft, healthy waves. We recommend rinsing your hair out or shampooing your hair between each use.
